Yesterday was the saddest day of my life! Was having SYF at VCH and there were like quite a number of choirs dere also la. But! 1st thing 1st! We were nt being over confident lor... We really really did very well... Even our instructor also said very good at the end of our performance. Den 8 of us were selected by teacher to stay bck and await the results inside the concert hall while the rest stayed outside. We waited from 5.35+ to 6 den they mentioned the results. The lady from MOE was calling the number and the sch follow by the results. Den as she was approaching number 51, my frens and i was very scared lor. Den once we hear bronze! We were all damn fucking shock la! I mean. We did so well den go bronze! Some more we're a Silver standard choir lor... Haiz.. Pearl was the 1st gal to cry and I was the 1st boy to cry! I just couldn't control my tears lor. It just kept coming out... Cried for 45 mins! From 6.15pm to 7pm when i reached home... It was just very sad lor. Our instructor said that it was nt our fault as the others choirs really push the standard very high... There were a lot of schs that got silver dropped to bronze. There were choirs who got Gold With Honours dropped to Gold, Gold to Silver, Silver to Bronze and Bronze to COP!!! He also said that we will forever remain as his Silver choir and that we are champions! Was so touched by that line la. We were nt the only choir that had got silver and dropped to bronze. We were all very devastated lor. Den almost everybody cried. We really practise very very hard la. 6mths of practise to that of 10 over mins on stage lor. It really seem as though we did nt practise hard but we really did... The others choirs also nvr folo the scores of the set piece but they still get Gold. Like xin ming choir, they were gold choir but they murdered the set piece and we did the set piece so well they still got Gold. WTF?! The judges dunno got listen or nt lor. Or they were just plain bias. Even the composer of the set piece was dere but we still did nt earn a lot of points for the excellent interpretation of the set piece. Wad is this world coming to?! Haiz... Anyway, we really did our very best on stage and i guess the judges just did nt get it...Leon
